Arrive with clean skin (no makeup or lotion around the eyes), avoid retinoids or exfoliants near the treatment area for 3-5 days prior, avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds beforehand, and skip blood thinners or alcohol for 24 hours before your session.
Patients with active acne breakouts, active skin infections or cold sores, a history of keloid scarring, uncontrolled diabetes, bleeding or clotting disorders, pregnancy, isotretinoin (Accutane) use within the past 6 months, or a compromised immune system are not candidates for this treatment.
